The customer is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in China. This client has several automotive subsidiaries, each with different business models and very successful. Baohe Consulting was invited to conduct category analysis for the client and evaluate the sales and marketing capabilities of all subsidiaries, in order to establish a foundation for developing new strategies for the entire organization.
The Baohe Consulting team conducted a large-scale market research covering 15 cities and 8000 data points, with the aim of obtaining consumer insights for category analysis. Our team conducted extensive internal and external interviews to assess capabilities in order to identify key factors for successful sales and marketing in the automotive industry. We conducted in-depth interviews and thorough desk research with customer sales and marketing managers, sales team members, distributors, competitors, and other personnel on key influencing factors in the industry.
We have developed a comprehensive new strategic plan and reported it to the client's senior management and board members. The company leadership has adopted the new direction we recommended. The plan we proposed has now become the foundation for the customer's efforts to consolidate their leading position in China's most important market - the mid size car market.
